There’s something on the ground near the tractor!” Her voice trembled with fear as she pointed to the tractor’s wheels. The sight of whatever it was instantly filled her with terror, her wide-eyed expression mirroring her alarm.
Jack immediately killed the tractor’s engine, his heart pounding in his chest as he jumped down to investigate the source of his daughter’s distress, his own apprehension growing with every passing second.
A frail cat lay helplessly on the ground, directly in the path of one of the tractor’s wheels. Had his daughter not spotted it, the tiny creature would have met a tragic fate.
